Breeze Airways Operates Its First Ever Flight

2 days ago, startup carrier Breeze Airways finally completed its first ever flight. Simple Aviation, being the huge fan of Breeze that it is, followed its first flight closely. Operated by an Embraer E195 with the registration MX1, it flew from Tampa(expected to be its powerhouse base), Florida to Charleston, South Carolina. We’ll explore what happened and the future of this promising airline.

The day started off at Tampa International Airport where founder Neeleman gave a speech, as well as some cake cutting and celebrations. The tweets below show glimpses of the excitement.

Passengers were then presented with a goodie bag to commemorate the special occasion.

Whilst pushing back from the gate, the E195 was marked by a water salute:

Apart from that, the flight went on normally, with another water cannon salute upon arrival at Charleston.

The main arrival to its fleet is yet to come, with 60 Airbus A220s set to arrive, also the time that the Embraer jets are set to be pulled out of the fleet.
